This was an amazing project to work on. The team at Audiences Central worked tirelessly to achieve the world record and the work of all the gallery and museum partners was inspirational.
The project was well concieved by Audiences Central and the support offered by the Arts Council in initiating the brief and then supporting the delivery proposal plans was vital and would be a much welcomed approach if run again in some other guise.
As a venue the Herbert benefited from the freedom to program its own events regionally, supported by funding. The other main benefits included being able to deliver activities underneath a unifiying brand that was achieving exemplarly media coverage with in kind support from the BBC as keen supporters.
We would welcome involvement in similar schemes help The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum target niche or underrepresented audiences in such an innovative, empowered, thought through and facilitated manner.
Well Done and Thank you to all those involved.
