Worcester Parks - Fort Royal

Tell me more…
Fort Royal Park is an historic park with strong links to the Civil War. The park offers fantastic views across the city to the Cathedral, which is well worth the rather steep trek to the top.
How do I get there…?
Located off London Road, Wylds Lane and Fort Royal Hill.
By road
From the Cathedral head away from the river, past Vue Cinema, straight ahead through two sets of traffic lights, park is on the left.
By rail
Foregate Street Station, turn left towards city centre, keep walking straight ahead until reaching the far end of the High Street. Turn left at the Elgar Statue, keep going past the Vue Cinema on the left, over several pedestrian crossings and the park will be on the left.
Roadside parking on Wylds Lane, restricted to 45 mins.
When is it open…?
The gates remain unlocked throughout the evening.
What about disability access…?
There are three entrances without steps, but paths are very steep.
