Worcester Parks – Gheluvelt Park

Tell me more…
Gheluvelt Park is a memorial park which has recently been given Green Flag status. The park is split into two areas the formal park and informal. Barbourne brook runs through the park to a large pond with a bandstand in the centre. Alms houses are located at the fringe of the park along with a Sons of Rest building. The brook continues through the park into an informal area once home to a water treatment plant. It is now a conservation area with meadow areas and a pond dipping platform, adjacent to the River Severn.
